Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration from Baden-Wuerttemberg in Germany joined ICPerMed

6 May 2019 – ICPerMed welcomes the German Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration from Baden-Wuerttemberg as its new member.

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration of Baden-Wuerttemberg is responsible for providing a modern health care system to the 11 million citizens of this German region. With the Baden-Wuerttemberg agenda it strives to systematically promote the implementation of personalisation into an affordable and fair health care system, while taking care of social acceptance and alignment with the expectations and apprehensions of the citizens. Therefore, the ministry is in close contact with partners from academia, health insurances and patient advocates.

One important focus of actual discussions is the collection and use of health data considering their utmost importance for the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic technologies and also the interests of the public in data privacy and protection.

ICPerMed's contact person at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration from Baden-Wuerttemberg is Dr. Anne Wuerz and – as advisory expert from academia – Prof. Nisar Malek, spokesperson of the Center for Personalised Medicine at the University Hospital Tübingen.
