13 November 2020 – ICPerMed welcomes CNPq as observer. CNPq is the largest Federal Research Funding Agency of Brazil, operating also via a partnership with the Brazilian Ministry of Health which has recently started the Brazilian National Program of Genomic and Precision Health, Genomas Brasil.
After FIOCRUZ, CNPq is the second Latin-American organisation to join ICPerMed. This is a big step towards ICPerMed’s internationalisation, which is an important aim of ICPerMed in order to align research and funding activities on an international level.
