Call Announcement: ICPerMed Recognition 2020

06 November 2019 – The International Consortium for Personalised Medicine (ICPerMed) has published the announcement for their third 'Best Practice in Personalised Medicine' Recognition 2020 today. The objective of this recognition is to honour, encourage, promote and disseminate outstanding best practice examples in personalised medicine.

Responsible authors (applicants from any country) of candidate proposals published and developed between 1 January 2018 and 31 October 2019 are eligible to apply. The ICPerMed Recognition will officially be launched on 6 November 2019 and the deadline for proposal submission will be 23 January 2020.

The successful applicants (maximum number of three) will be invited to the ICPerMed Conference 2020 and will be given the opportunity to present their results during a plenary session. In addition, the successful candidates will receive a non-cash support for the dissemination of the best practice example by the ICPerMed Secretariat in the value of 500 €.

The applications have to refer to the third perspective outlined in the ICPerMed Vision Paper “Healthcare systems that enable personally-tailored and optimized health promotion, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment for the benefit of citizens and patients”. The best practice examples submitted can consist of one or several of the following:

  1. Scientific paper focused on novel approaches for the implementation of personalised medicine.
  2. Training programmes for health personnel, increasing the level of awareness on the potential of personalised medicine.
  3. Examples for interdisciplinary or intersectoral groups of collaboration (governmental and non-governmental organisations, academic management, medical research, health care and private organisations, e.g. SME or industry partners), for the implementation of personalised medicine, including ELSI activities.
