14 December 2018 – All video recordings and presentations from the ICPerMed Conference 2018 'Personalised Medicine in Action' are available online now. The Conference assembled about 300 experts from 32 countries worldwide. Additionaly, over 500 viewers followed the online livestream.

The Recognition aims to recognise, encourage, promote and disseminate outstanding examples of best practices in personalised medicine.

ICPerMed Conference shows Progression of PM

21 November 2018 – The first conference ‘Personalised Medicine in Action’ of the International Consortium for Personalised Medicine (ICPerMed) assembled around 300 experts from 32 countries in Berlin, Germany. Around 500 viewers followed the online livestream of the conference. The conference took place from 20 to 21 November and presented best practice examples for successful implementations of personalised medicine approaches in Europe and beyond.

12 November 2018 – The Health NCP Net 2.0 is organizing an online seminar on November 27 on the history, aims and activities of ICPerMed as well as related EU projects (such as ERA-PerMed, and Coordination and Support Actions under the umbrella of ICPerMed).

ERACoSysMed Call 2019

9 November 2018 – The ERACoSysMed consortium has published a pre-announcement of the ERACoSysMed Joint Transnational Call for Proposals 2019. The aim of the call is to fund research projects that validate existing predictive computational models using biomedical data to expand the knowledge about human diseases and their treatment. The call is scheduled to be launched on February 1 2019.

EASYM Conference: Big Data – Transition to Practice

29 August 2018 – The European Association of Systems Medicine (EASYM) is holding their 2018 Conference ‘Big Data – Transition to Practice’ on 7th to 9th November 2018 in Utrecht, Netherlands. The conference is designed to initiate and promote interactions between researchers and clinicians who are interested in applying systems level approaches to address medical problems.

19 June 2018 – The International Consortium for Personalised Medicine (ICPerMed) launched the ICPerMed mapping database on funding for research in personalised medicine, and published its first “State of the Art Report 2017”.

ICPerMed Executive Committee Meeting in Vienna

18 June 2018 – In April 2018, the ICPerMed Executive Committee met in Vienna, Austria to discuss and plan strategy and future activities of the consortium. The meeting was hosted by the Austrian partners, BMBWF, BMASGK and MedUniWien.

Statement concerning the 1 Million Genomes Declaration

18 May 2018 – On 10 April 2018 13 Member States signed a declaration, initiated by the European Commission, to establish access to 1 Million Genomes in the EU by 2022. ICPerMed has followed with interest the process of developing the declaration. Recognising the great potential of personalised medicine to improve the prevention and diagnosis of disease and the treatment of patients, ICPerMed aims to coordinate and foster research to develop and evaluate personalised medicine approaches.

15 May 2018 – The International Consortium for Personalised Medicine (ICPerMed) has published the results of the first ICPerMed "Best Practice in Personalised Medicine" Award 2018. The three first awardees are invited to the ICPerMed Conference 2018, which takes place on 20-21 November in Berlin, and will be given the opportunity to present their results during a plenary session to stakeholders interested in the area of personalised medicine.

5 March 2018 – Five Nordic funding agencies are launching a call for proposals with the aim of funding Nordic projects that contribute to implementation of personalised medicine in health care. The call focuses on use of data for personalised medicine, clinical/regulatory as well as health economics perspectives and builds on strengths and synergies in the Nordic countries.

3 November 2017 – The 'Innovative and Personalised Medicine Unit' of the European Commission (EC) DG RTD Directorate E-Health has published a video on 'How co-operation paves the way for personalised medicine'. 22 March 2017 – The International Consortium for Personalised Medicine (ICPerMed) identifies future research needs in a common Action Plan. The aim of ICPerMed is to boost personalised medicine by an enhanced coordination and alignment of research activities. Over the past year, the members of ICPerMed have developed a common Action Plan with central research and research-supporting activities in all areas relevant to personalised medicine.
