17 January 2023 - The International Consortium for Personalised Medicine (ICPerMed) organised the workshop ‘Preparing the Future for Personalised Medicine: EP PerMed’ on January 17th and 18th in Pamplona (Spain). The workshop assembled almost 80 international experts in all areas of personalised medicine on site and about 40 experts participating virtually to contribute to the preparation of the future European Partnership for Personalised Medicine (EP PerMed).

Online Training on Personalised Medicine Trials (PERMIT)

08 December 2022 - A new ICPerMed Best Practice Example for Personalised Medicine features a 5-year programme for the Implementation of Personalised Medicine in Estonia. Launched in 2019, its main goal is to create the fundament to employ genetic data more extensively in clinical practice, e.g. for personalised genetic risk-based prevention.

25 July 2022 - Pharmacogenomics is the study of how genes affect a person's response to drugs and risk of side effects and enables a personalised choice and dosage of drugs. So far, this knowledge is not routinely applied in patient care. To improve this situation, a “serious game” was developed in the context of the European project U-PGx. It offers a more intuitive and practical training of medical students in recognizing adverse drug effects that may be caused by pharmacogenomics.

Update on EP PerMed Preparations

22 March 2022 – The preparations for the European Partnership in Personalised Medicine, EP PerMed, are continuing. Last month, a draft proposal for the Partnership was prepared by the drafting group of potential partners and published by the European Commission. This was done in close collaboration with the Member States (MS) and Associated Countries, and with support of the European Commission.
