Second ICPerMed Training

14 September 2022 - ICPerMed is happy to announce the 2nd “ICPerMed Training – “Personalised Medicine Research: Ethical and Legal aspects of Biobanking and Data Management” which will take place on October 10th, from 09:30 to 17:00, virtually. Applications will be accepted till October 6th, 12:00h CEST.

This course aims to train health professionals and personnel dedicated to biomedical, technological and scientific research and to increase their knowledge regarding data management and the establishment and maintenance of a Biobank.

The event will be held during one entire working day and will deal with the main issues concerning the establishment and management of a biobank of biological samples, the data associated with them, and the creation and launch of a Pathology Register, giving ample space for practical, organizational and scientific aspects.

This event will give ample space to the scientific, organizational-managerial, regulatory aspects and related to the privacy and security of samples and data.

At the end of the event the participants will be updated and trained in this specific sector, so as to bring as a result greater knowledge and updating on all the main aspects of biobanking, and a greater understanding of the value of structured data, their usability in the most varied scientific sectors, also given the presence at the course of the leading experts in the sector. Among the specific training objectives, two aspects have been identified that will be particularly detailed: a part on legislation and ethics (ELSI) and a part on interoperability that examines the problem of data quality.
