Governance

ICPerMed is organised around an Executive Committee consisting of its members, with an elected chair and two vice-chairs. The Executive Committee is supported by two Working Groups.

The Steering Board is a sub-group of the Executive Committee, taking care of the consortium’s everyday work in close cooperation with the ICPerMed Secretariat.

In addition, Work Package 5 of the European Partnership for Personalised Medicine (EP PerMed) supports with content-driven input, logistics and organisation.

ICPerMed members are also part of the EP PerMed Extended General Assembly (ExtGeA) and thereby become advisory to EP PerMed.

Executive Committee

ICPerMed is organised around an Executive Committee which includes representatives nominated by member organisations. Members include ministries, public and private ‘not-for-profit’ health research funding and policy organisations (see members). The Executive Committee is at the very centre of ICPerMed’s structure, being the main decision making body.

Chairs

A chair and two vice-chairs for the Executive Committee were elected for three years. Their job is to chair at Executive Committee meetings and to lead the Steering Board, the sub-group taking care of the consortium’s everyday work.

ICPerMed Working Groups

The ICPerMed Working Groups consist of ICPerMed members and external experts, working on topics prioritized by ICPerMed, (co-)organizing events and developing strategic documents.

The main objectives of the Working Groups are:

  • contributing to the development of ICPerMed recommendations/strategic publications/reports and to ICPerMed dissemination activities (e.g. roadmap/Scientific Research and Innovation Agenda)
  • providing content-driven input for ICPerMed events
  • exchanging with stakeholders and representing ICPerMed in thematically focused events to improve the visibility and impact of ICPerMed in the respective community
  • identifying and validating Best Practise PM examples

There are currently two Working Groups addressing the following topics:

  • Policy
  • Internationalisation

The Working Groups report regularly to the Executive Committee. Their results give input for the State-of-the-Art report and for organising ICPerMed events. Each Working Group is chaired by a Working Group lead and supported by a Working Group co-lead, who were chosen from and elected by the Executive Committee.
