Policy Brief on ethical, legal, and social aspects (ELSA) in the cooperation between Europe and China

The policy brief is the result of the work done by the ELSA Task Force, formed in 2023, and is based on discussions held during a workshop and delegation visit to China. The document addresses topics such as the importance of ELSA in personalised medicine development and implementation, legal and regulatory aspects, and ethical and societal perspectives. The recommendations presented in the brief aim to guide both policy and science in the development and implementation of personalised medicine. The ELSA Policy Brief is based on the recommendations of the Sino-EU Projects’ first Policy Brief on Science and Technology, which the project published in 2022 on the basis of a stakeholder workshop (Sino-EU PerMed S&T Policy Brief).

Additionally, Sino-EU PerMed has developed a database accessible to the community. The database provides access to relevant patents, publications, preprints and visualizations on PM developments from 2020 to 2023 (Sino-EU PerMed Mapping Database).
