10 November 2022 – The CSA Regions4PerMed released a call for application for their Best Practice Award. The selected Best Practices will highlight topics and models of regional relevance in Personalised Medicine, belonging to five different categories.

B1MG Policy Brief on implementing Genomics in Healthcare
04 November 2022 – The Beyond 1 Million Genomes (B1MG) project has recently published a policy brief on the implementation of genomics in healthcare. The policy brief summarizes four main recommendations: Patient and citizen engagement; Implementation in healthcare: infrastructure and regulation; Training and capacity building; Building a sustainable ecosystem for genomics in healthcare.

Second ICPerMed Training “Personalised Medicine: Ethical and Legal Aspects of Biobanking and Data Management”
28 October 2022 – The second ICPerMed Training entitled “Personalised Medicine Research: Ethical and Legal Aspects of Biobanking and Data Management” took place virtually on 10 October, 2022 with 130 international participants. The training was organised in collaboration with Dr Luca Sangiorgi (Director of the Department of Rare skeletal disorders at Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli, IT).

South African Medical Research Council joins ICPerMed
04 October 2022 – ICPerMed welcomes the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) as new member. SAMRC is the largest funder of health research in Africa with a key focus on the translation of research into new or improved policies, practices, processes and products to improve health outcomes.
