17 January 2025 – The ICPerMed Family project PERMIT (PERsonalised MedicIne Trials) has published new recommendations ensuring the robustness of personalised medicine research programmes, throughout the personalised medicine pipeline.
In a series of workshops, participants, partners and selected experts addressed the various aspects of methodology, design, data management, analysis and interpretation in personalised medicine research, with the objective of reaching consensus and publishing recommendations, summarized in an overarching paper. The project conducted a mapping of the literature on methodological practices in the various research steps (stratification cohorts and data collection, machine-learning stratification, preclinical models, and complex clinical trials), and identified needs in terms of standardised methodology.
